My Travel Bucket List
“We do not believe in Gross National Product. Gross National Happiness is more important.” once said Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the king of Bhutan. GNH is distinguishable by for valuing collective happiness as the goal of governance, and by emphasizing harmony with nature and traditional values.
This sentence made me want to visit Bhutan because I value this kind of philosophy. Fortunately for the country, tourism is limited in Bhutan in order to preserve it. Moreover, Bhutan is not easily accessible and you need 250$ of budget per day to be able to enter the country. Isn’t crazy?
My boyfriend’s a big fan of Japan and I guess I would never be interested in visiting this country if he wasn’t talking all days long about it and its culture. With time, I became curious and this is why Japan’s on my bucket list! I really want to see the cherry blossom so I’ll probably visit Japan in April (one day).
What attracts me the most about Myanmar? The landscapes and the kindness of the population. I’ve heard so many beautiful travel stories about Myanmar and I just want to discover this country by myself. Also, one of my favorite pictures of Steve Mc Curry was taken on a lake in Myanmar (link to the picture).
I want to visit Vietnam since I am 10 years old. I guess it’s because I grew up with a lot of Vietnamese people in Poland and I always felt attracted by this country. Now it became very touristic for what I know but since I never gave up the idea of going there… I will!
I’ve traveled a lot around Europe with my parents (I’ll write a post about all the countries I’ve been in). When we travel to Europe we usually go to Spain, France, Holland, Greece and so on. I would like to discover those unknown countries that we are not used to visit, especially on the East side of Europe.
I’ll not list any specific country in Africa because I actually want to discover them all. I’ve been to Africa 5 times and every time I travel there I fell in love again with this beautiful continent.
Who does not want to go to Cuba? Old cars, cigars, music (so cliché).
After watching Narcos on Netflix, we all wanted to go to Colombia. Am I right? Actually, I would like to visit every country in South America because I’ve never been there.
Which countries would you like to visit? Write me in a comment, I would love to discover new destinations!
